Once there, you will take 2 cablecars for the Aiguille du Midi (3842), then you will be able to touch the snow and the ice (which you can also do in the summer), and watch the climbers and the skiers. There are terraces, a flight of stairs, a cafe, a souvenir shop, toilets- all in a labyrinth of tunnels carved in granite that has existed for over 50 years. A technological feat for you to gain access to a very high altitude and the most celebrated mountainous landscapes in Europe. The highest summits of the french Alps (Monts-Blanc, Grande Jorasses, Aiguille verte, Drus, Aiguille de Chamonix...)Italian Alps (Dent du Geant,.......) and the Swiss Alps (Matterhorn.......).

The Montenvers train will transport you for 20 minutes through the pine forests to reach the station of the Mer de Glace(Longest glacier in France).
